From JCC Chai Sports to JCC Maccabi Gold |

Sean Katzoti and Jacob Bendayan were the leading scorers and two of the key pieces to Toronto's 69-45 Gold Medal win over St. Louis, at the 2013 JCC Maccabi Games, in California. Both players excelled on the court with their scoring, assists, rebounding and leadership.The other unique aspect to their story, is where they played house league basketball. Both played in the JCC Chai Sports program, and crafted many of their initial skills working with our staff. In fact, the Head Coach of their Gold Medal Team Daniel Rosenfeld, is the new JCC Chai Sports Basketball Director. "I look forward to building on the great JCC Chai Sports tradition, and enhancing the overall basketball program" said Rosenfeld. "I want to build on our South and girls programs, and have more of our kids be in the mix for JCC Maccabi each year." Over the past two years, 5 JCC Chai Sports alumnists have gone to the JCC Maccabi Games, and we anticipate this number will double next year in Detroit. |
